Sandpoint, Idaho: I performed (for the first time) at the Sandpoint Blues Festival with the outstanding Keb Mo! All I can say is “wow”…just “wow”. I was so impressed by him and his audience! The festival was held alongside a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains. It was all-around a breathtaking event! After my performance I sat at the merchandise table and signed CD’s for fans for almost 2 hours! I met some really great fans both new and old. After the signing I sat in the field and watched Keb Mo perform… his stage presence is freaking awesome, I was blown away!

Next stop was The Birchmere in Alexandra, VA. I was opening up for Jonny Lang, who just so happens to be one of my favorite people to tour with! His audience has always treated me with love and respect and for that, I am grateful. What a great night!

We then drove to the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, CT. I actually played there with Jonny last year on Valentine’s Day. That show was a definite success and so was this one. Jonny always fills the place, and the crowd there is always more than attentive.

My last show on this mini-tour was at the Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH. The venue is an old theatre with high ceilings and opera booths! One of my favorite parts about touring is having the time after sound-check and before the show to explore the town I am in. I LOVE clothes so I always find myself checking out the local vintage/thrift stores. I came across a great little shop in Portsmouth called Second Time Around. Everyone there is so friendly so I started chatting with two of the girls that work there. I explained that I was on the hunt for accessories for an outfit I was wearing for my show later that night. They asked me where I was playing, so I told them I was the opener for Jonny Lang. They were both huge fans of his and were bummed because they couldn’t get tickets before the show sold out. Since I had a few spots open on my guest list, I happily added their names. One of the girls told me she wanted to cry because she was soo happy - and that MADE my day! Needless to say… I felt pretty cool. After the show I saw them on the street as I exited the venue and they promised me that they were now my fans as well! Great town, great people, great music, great night!

The tour was short, and a little bit of a tease… I can’t wait for the release of my album so I can be on the road even more! Thank you to all of the wonderful people at those shows. You are the reason I love my job!!
